It's New Years Eve

Fond greetings to all:

It's New Years Eve Day here in Oceanside on the big island of Hawaii. Kirk, my partner, and I are just organizing ourselves for the day ahead. Shankari has asked us to do the shopping for her big event at her place down the road. We're expects 30-50 people from all over the area.

I've have the chance to see some new stock Shankari has and I'm bringing some new items home. I'll try to make some pictures of what there is and show you a couple. I'm just figuring out how to put pictures on this blog.

Anyone used guru.com? I've just started using it. It's a site where you can hire people to do all sort of things: web work, graphics, administrative, etc. You put out a project and then people bid on it. It's really cool. I'm looking for someone to spruce up this blog banner and I've got bids from all around the world; India, Venezuela, Urkraine. I'm feeling very international.

Today Hawaii

Hello, All

I was very happy to hear from Dan and Mercury.   Dan is a good friend of ours, a minister, and is quite taken with Shankari's crosses.  We meet Mercury in Nagano, Japan, when we were there with Shankari.

So today we're on the island of Hawaii in the lava dessert south of Kona.  Shankari has a place here in Oceanview.  We're enjoying spending some time and learning more about the jewelry.

The other day, Shankari spoke about how the gems are shaped and then placed into the silver settings.  The silversmiths in Bali require extensive training before they get to Shankari's workshop.  Each gem is carefully fitted into it's place.   The silversmith are given the designs by Shankari, who dreams each piece.  She tells us she "hears" shapes and colors and then composes each pieces as if it were a little symphony.

Home Again

Hello, All.

Kirk and I made it home from our sojourn in Asia.  We were only home a couple of days before we left for Loral Langemeier's Cash Machine workshop in San Jose where we presented the jewelry. 

  It was very moving to see how people reacted to it.  We decided to let people "test drive" pieces to see how they might work with a given piece.  One woman, who wore a rainbow moonstone oval, reported no more lower-back pain while she wore the piece.  Another person said she just felt better wearing her new Shankari earings.  Our friend, Arlene, who made a presentation of her business, who a blue topaz butterfly design and said the piece made her feel "larger" and "more confident."    I really love the new cross designs Shankari designed for me.  You'll see them up on the site shortly.

Yesterday Melbourne, Today Auckland. Tomorrow?

Fond greetings to all.

It gives me great joy to be with you. My partner, Kirk, and I arrived last night from Melbourne, Australia after our flight was delayed for a few hours. No matter, we were well looked-after got into our Bed and Breakfast before midnight.

This B & B is called Peace and Plenty, and it really is. It's a beautiful Victorian building with all the colors, plush furniture and cut flower arrangements that you might imagine. It's also full of crystals. Our hostess, Judy, has traveled to world collecting amazing amethyst crystals and quartz that are spread throughout the house. It gives the place a special glow. The garden surrounding the property is lush; Kirk and I felt the presence of the devas, or "sparklies," as we like to call them, during the night.

Where have you been lately? Perhaps it's a place that inspired you, or gave you a sense of peace. Tell us about it.

Meeting Shankari in Nagano, Japan

Meeting Shankari in different places around the world is always so much fun.

She has been going to Japan for a couple of years now and has a growing following there--not only for her exquisite Jewelry, but also for the spiritual alchemical work she teaches.

Shankari invited myself and my partner, Kirk Prine, to help her teach her workshop to a few Japanese people in Nagano. It was a two-day event in which Shankari presented her rituals to open the higher chakras. When she speaks of the higher chakras, she's talking about the 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th chakras. Kirk and I had already studied these rituals in Bali a couple of years ago at Shankari's palace and now we we teaching assistants.

I'd love to tell you more about my experiences, has anyone ever done this work with Shankari?
